Windows 10 Home Download: How to download, install and activate
Option 1: Performing a clean installation
Please proceed with this when you are currently using an older Windows version than Windows 10 or a PC without an operating system
1. Download Windows Media Creation tool directly from Microsoft:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
2. Run the Media Creation Tool
- Create installation media for another PC
- Select preferred language
- Select Edition: Windows 10 (it includes both, Home and Pro)
- Select architecture (64-bit or 32-bit)
- Select the media you want to create (USB flash drive or ISO file to create a DVD)
3. Perform a clean installation
- Boot from the USB flash drive or the DVD you have created
- Select your language, time, and keyboard preferences
- Enter product key provided by us
- Installation type: Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)
- Remove all partitions and create a new one to install Windows
- Proceed and perform the installation
Option 2: Re-activating Windows 10 Home
Please proceed with this if Windows 10 Home is already installed and you simply need to activate it
1. Press the "Windows key" + "R", type "slui.exe" and hit "Enter"
2. Enter your Windows 10 Home product key and press "Next"
If activation fails, ensure you are connected to the internet and that your product key is entered correctly. If the issue persists, see troubleshooting below.
3. Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Activation" and verify that Windows is activated
Troubleshooting
Unable to Select Windows 10 Home During Clean Installation?
If you're unable to select the Home edition of Windows 10 during a clean installation, it may be due to your installation media configuration. Follow these steps:

Open Notepad and paste the following lines:
[Channel] Retail [VL] 0

Save the file as ei.cfg in the
\sources
folder of your USB installation media - Restart the installation. You will now be able to choose the Home edition manually.

slmgr /upk
- Clear previous key data:
slmgr /cpky
- Enter your new product key:

- Activate the key:

- Disconnect your PC from the internet.
- Press Windows + I > System > Activation > Change product key.
- Enter your valid Windows 10 Home product key.
- Reconnect to the internet and try activating again.
- If the issue persists, perform a clean installation as described above.
